LANSING, MI – The Michigan Community Service Commission (MCSC) today announced it will help support 22 Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service projects.

MCSC, along with the Michigan Nonprofit Association, will support 22 volunteer projects across Michigan that will address hunger and homelessness, education and other critical community needs. The projects will engage nearly 2,700 volunteers in more than 3,500 volunteer hours, benefitting more than 50,000 Michigan residents.

“We want to inspire Michigan residents to serve in the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr.,” MCSC Executive Director Ginna Holmes said. “We encourage everyone to join together in this National Day of Service and volunteer to make a difference in their community.”
