Hit & Run on Detroit’s West side have Police looking for Information

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for a hit and run pedestrian accident that occurred on the city’s west side.

On Sunday, January 15, 2017, at approximately 1:35 p.m., at Schaefer and Pilgrim, a 60-year-old man was struck by a vehicle. The victim had just finished crossing the street, when a white Ford Taurus 4 door, traveling south on Schaefer, drove up on the sidewalk and struck the victim. The victim suffered critical injuries. After the accident, the vehicle fled the scene.

The vehicle is described as a white early 2000’s model Ford Taurus 4 door. It has rust or patch above the passenger side rear wheel well. An unknown female was seen driving.
