DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a male suspect wanted in connection with the malicious destruction of a BP Gas Station located on the city’s west side.
On January 24, 2017 at 5:05 p.m., an unknown male suspect entered the BP Gas Station located in the 18500 block of W. Seven Mile. After entering, the suspect requested free items from an employee inside. After being told that he was not going to receive anything, the suspect became irate and knocked over a rack containing miscellaneous baked goods. As the suspect began to leave the store, the employee activated the electric door lock on the main door in an attempt to lock the suspect inside. The suspect kicked the door and forced the door open, rendering the lock unusable. After breaking the lock, the suspect left the location on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years of age, dark complexion, wearing red/black hat, black sweatshirt, black plants, and red shoes.
