Police are continuing to investigate the deaths of 31-year-old Joseph Carson and 39-year-old Anthony Hammond, both of Flint.

Two men from Grand Rapids, brothers Otis Smith Jr. and Anthony Halloway,  have been arrested for the double homicide.  The 31-year-old suspect, Otis Smith Jr., was arrested Saturday night and his 23-year-old brother, Anthony Halloway, was arrested Sunday morning after police executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Stewart Street in Grand Rapids.

Police say Carson and Hammond were meeting the two brothers in a Walmart parking lot near Owosso to sell marijuana after a message was posted to Craigslist. Upon meeting in the parking lot, the two brothers from Grand Rapids decided to rob the two Flint men of the marijuana.

Both men from Grand Rapids are currently being held in the Shiawassee County Jail.  Formal charges are expected this week.
