Detroit Police Recover Unmarked Stolen Cruiser

DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police had one of their own unmarked vehicles stolen early Monday morning, February 13th, 2017.

The black 2004 Chevy Impala was an unmarked squad car taken from a driveway on Hartwell.  The cruiser was later recovered at approximately 9:00 a.m. near Chippewa and Cheyenne with the catalytic converter missing.  That is in the area of W. 8 Mile Rd and Schaefer Hwy.

Detroit Police have not commented if any department issued weapons were in the vehicle at the time that it was stolen or if any other items were missing.
