Grand Rapids Police need help to identify Armed Robbery suspect

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The Grand Rapids Police Department’s Major Case Team is asking for the public’s help with identifying an armed robbery suspect.

He was photographed committing an armed robbery in the area of Ottawa Av and Weston St SW. He displayed a handgun before taking the victim’s backpack. The incident occurred on Monday, February 6, at approximately 9:00 pm.

The suspect is described as black male, 15 to 25 years old, with shoulder length dreadlock hair. He is approximately 5’10” and 180 lbs and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black shorts at the time of the robbery.
