Man Shot on Detroit’s West side; U.S. Marshals Involved

DETROIT, MI – A man was shot on Detroit’s west side on Tuesday morning, February 21st, 2017, in the area of Linwood and Tuxedo Streets.

Reports are that U.S. Marshals and Detroit Police are involved in a shooting.

The suspect, Edward Burgett, 31-years-old, has non-life threatening injuries.  The subject was shot in the shoulder. he is said to be wanted for Criminal Sexual Conduct charges, vehicle theft and was wanted by the Michigan Department of Corrections on parole violations.

He has been transported to Henry Ford Hospital for treatment.

Multiple police agencies are on scene that include Michigan State Police, Wayne County Sheriff, U.S. Marshals Service and Detroit Police.
