Heroin, guns seized in St. Clair County DTF raid

PORT HURON, MI – The St. Clair County Drug Task Force seized heroin, marijuana and a pair of handguns during a raid in the city of Port Huron Wednesday night, February 22nd, 2017.

According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the DTF concluded an investigation into the sales of heroin in the Port Huron area with the execution of a search warrant in the 700 block of 18th Street about 8:00 p.m. During the search of the home, members of the Drug Task Force located and seized two handguns, about $500 worth of heroin, marijuana, drug packaging materials, drug paraphernalia, scales, cash and cell phones.

A 48-year-old Port Huron man was arrested at the home. He is lodged in the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center. The man is expected to face charges including possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, felony firearms, felon in possession of a firearm and being a habitual offender. A 26-year-old woman at the residence was released from the home with her 7 year old child. Charges will be sought for the woman.

The Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and Port Huron Police Road Patrol assisted at the scene of the raid.
