Dearborn Police asking for information on Drive-by Shooting

DEARBORN, MI – On Sunday, January 15th, 2017, at approximately 2:50 a.m., the Dearborn Police responded to the area of Lowrey Street and Akron Street on a report of shots fired.

Neighbors reported hearing gunshots in the area, but no evidence was found by responding officers. Once daylight arrived, officers discovered a vehicle which had been struck by multiple gunshots. The suspect(s) shot multiple rounds into the victim’s vehicle with a small caliber hand gun.

Attached is a photograph of a vehicle of interest captured on surveillance footage on the night of the incident. It is believed that the vehicle involved is a Saturn Aura. Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “Our number one priority is citizen safety. When that is jeopardized, we will do everything in our power to ensure the perpetrator is brought to justice. I am urging the public to come forward and provide information regarding the suspect(s) in this incident.”
