It is alleged that on February 26, 2017 at approximately 1:20 p.m., Detroit police were dispatched to the 7300 block of Dexter Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with EMTs at the scene, and were advised of a deceased victim upstairs in the house. The officers found the lifeless body of Mr. Neville. It is alleged that the victim was fatally beaten by Stone.
Stone has been charged with First Degree Murder. Stone was arraigned yesterday before Judge Bari Blake Woods. The probable cause conference is scheduled for March 15, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for March 22, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Both hearings are before Judge William C. McConico in 36th District Court.
Stone has a long criminal history based on records from the Michigan Department of Corrections. His crimes date back to 1999. Antonio Stone was released from prison in 2015. He has previous convictions for:
- 2 counts of Prisons – Prisoner Possessing Weapons
- 2 counts of Robbery Unarmed
- 2 counts of Asslt w/Int Gr Bod Hrm Less Murder
If convicted, Antonio Stone faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
