MT. CLEMENS, MI – Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham is seeking the public’s help in locating a vehicle and identifying its driver after a hit & run, car/pedestrian crash that occurred on N.B. Gratiot, near Park Street, in Mt. Clemens, Tuesday night.
On 03-14-17 at approximately 11:52pm, the Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received a call that someone had been struck by a car. Deputies arrived at the location and found a 28 year-old Detroit man lying on the ground in front of a closed business. Mt. Clemens Fire Department and MedStar Ambulance were also called to the scene and they provided medical attention to the injured man. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment for a head injury.
Deputies closed a section of Northbound Gratiot to conduct an investigation.

It appears that the man was crossing N.B. Gratiot (from east to west) and was struck by a darkcolored vehicle while in the center lane of the three-lane road. After striking the pedestrian, the
striking vehicle continued on (northbound) without stopping.
Upon reviewing the video-footage and identifying car parts left at the scene, detectives believe the striking vehicle is a 2001-2006 Chrysler Sebring, dark green in color. The vehicle will have damage to the front (passenger-side) and to the passenger-side, rear-view mirror.
The injured man remains in a local hospital, in “stable” condition and with non-life threatening injuries.’
