Update to Car Crash that claimed life of 49 yr old Manistee Man

MANISTEE TOWNSHIP, MI – The Manistee County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a two vehicle personal injury accident that claimed the life of a Manisteee man and they are asking for your help.

On Wednesday, March 29th, 2017, just before 9:00 a.m., a two vehicle crash occurred on US 31 near Hahn Road in Manistee Township.  The crash killed Dean Horaszewski, 49-years-old, of Manistee.

Some new information has developed in the case.  They have released a still photo of the vehicle that is being sought out.

A witness to the accident gave the Sheriff’s office the description of a third vehicle that started the chain reaction of events in the deadly crash.

Authorities are working to locate and identify a tan or gold color SUV with a loud exhaust that left the scene.  If anyone has information on this accident or of the unknown vehicle/driver, please call the Sheriff’s office at 231-723-8393 or Central Dispatch at 723-6241.
