WILLIAMSTON, MI – An investigation conducted by the Michigan State Police (MSP) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has resulted in the arrest of a Williamston man.
Joshua Porter, 37-years-old, was taken into custody yesterday, Tuesday, April 4th, 2017, by officers from the Williamston Police Department and troopers from the MSP Brighton Post.
The investigation stemmed from police being alerted about Porter’s online activity. The crimes, involving two adult female victims, are believed to have occurred between April and August of 2016.
Porter is charged with three counts of capturing/distributing image of an unclothed person and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. He has been arraigned in 53rd District Court in Livingston County.
If convicted, Porter faces up to five years in prison for each count of capturing/distributing image of an unclothed person and seven years in prison for each count for using of a computer to commit a crime.
