Alcohol may be factor in I-75 Crash in Detroit

DETROIT, MI – On Saturday April 22, 2017, at approximately 12:05 a.m., troopers from the Metro South Post responded to an unknown crash on north bound I-75 near Mack Ave. in the city of Detroit.

The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2016 Cadillac was traveling at a high rate of speed when it rear ended a 2006 Chevy 4 door. Both vehicles then struck the right shoulder cement barrier.

Both occupants of the Chevrolet were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Cadillac sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol is suspected in this incident. Investigation continues by the Metro South Post.
