Redford Man Arrested for CVS Robbery in Macomb County

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI – Sheriff Anthony Wickersham reported on Friday, April 7, 2017 at approximately 8:48PM, a black male (possibly early 20’s) approximately 5’8” in height, jumped the counter of the pharmacy and took 3 bottles of medication (cough syrup w/codeine).

He implied he had a gun however it was never seen. The suspect threatened the Pharmacist while he searched for the bottles. He fled the scene forcing the doors of the store open. He was witnessed getting into a silver Chrysler Pacifica (unknown plate). No one was injured.

Information was put out to the public requesting assistance in identifying this suspect. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip on April 13, 2017 identifying the suspect as 21 year old Hasan Colbert out of Redford.

After conducting several interviews and surveillance, the Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team- East, which is a team comprised of the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, United States Marshal Service, and Macomb County Parole Office located Colbert exiting a business in Detroit. Colbert was taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Macomb County Jail.

Hasan Colbert was arraigned on Monday, April 24, 2017 in the 41- B District Court of Clinton Township on one count of unarmed robbery, a 15 year felony. He was given a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 8, 2017. He remains at the Macomb County Jail.
