Woman nearly Runs over Security Guard in Shopping Center Parking Lot in Detroit [Video]

DETROIT, MI – On Thursday May 4th, 2017 a man who was just doing his job as a security guard, narrowly escaped serious injury when an irate woman behind the steering wheel of a Ford Taurus nearly ran him down in the Belmont Shopping Center parking lot.

The Belmont Shopping Center is located on the east side of the city at 2010 E 8 Mile RD in Detroit.

The security guard, Michael Trautman, stated that part of his duties at the shopping center are to enforce parking policies within the property.  In this particular instance, he was trying to keep people safe because of drivers who were coming into the parking lot from an opposite direction that is posted.

At approximately 5:20 p.m., a woman, driving a beige Ford Taurus, came into the parking lot the opposite way of what is normally supposed to be the traffic pattern. Trautman said that he was positioned in front of the woman’s vehicle directing her to go in the opposite direction.  It was at that moment the female driver intentionally decided to accelerate her car which then struck the security guard.  The impact caused Michael Trautman to land on the hood of the vehicle.  The woman drove half the length of the shopping center parking lot before he was able to find his way self off the vehicle’s hood.  While he was on the hood of the car, she kept trying to ‘break hard‘ in hopes that it would cause him to be launched off of the vehicle’s hood.  If she would have succeeded, this would definitely have caused serious injury to the Trautman.

Michael Trautman immediately contacted the Detroit Police Department to notify them of the incident and to file a police report.

The woman, who had already fled the scene, brazenly came back to the property before police arrived. She decided that she needed a Little Caesars Pizza to go along with her venom.  As she came out of the pizza shop, she looked directly at Michael Trautman and said “You’re just a punk ass security guard.  That’s why I hit you and then left the scene”.

Trautman told MI Headlines that he does not know the woman and has never has any previous issues with her.
On Saturday, May 6th, Michael Trautman will be meeting with a Detroit Police Detective so that formal charges can be brought against the woman who needed a Hot & Ready pizza after she nearly killed him for doing his job.
