Motorcyclist may face Charges after Crash in Sanilac County


WORTH TOWNSHIP, MI – On Saturday June 10th, 2017 at approximately 7:45 P.M. Sanilac Central Dispatch received a call regarding a motorcycle personal injury accident on Black River Road north of Burns Line Road in Worth Township.

According to Sgt. Matt Armstrong, the investigation revealed that a 2002 Harley Davidson being operated by a 34 ­year ­old male from Grant Township was southbound on Black River Road and was attempting to negotiate the “S­Curves” north of Burns Line Road. The operator of motorcycle lost control and the motorcycle ran off the roadway to the right. The motorcycle traveled through the ditch with the operator being dragged underneath of the motorcycle.




The man was transported to Port Huron McLaren Hospital by Croswell EMS for treatment of injuries.

Croswell Police Department and Croswell Fire Department assisted on scene.

It is believed that alcohol was a contributing factor to the accident and it remains under investigation. The name of the driver is being withheld pending possible charges.
