Suspect Wanted for Attempted Murder on Detroit’s West side

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for an attempted murder that occurred on the city’s west side.

On Monday, July 3, 2017 at approximately 1:00 a.m., in the 8000 block of Ashton, a 23 year old female victim as shot multiple times by her ex-boyfriend. The suspect was attempting to remove a license plate from the victim’s vehicle when the suspect began assaulting the victim, then pulled out a firearm and shot her. The victim fled from the location to a gas station in the 17700 block of Grand River where emergency services were called. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The wanted suspect is described as Dequain Brazzle, black male, 28, 5’10”, 210 lbs. He was last seen driving a white 2014 Chrysler 200 4 door, Michigan license plate# DRD 5373.
