Traverse City Narcotics Team arrest 5 on various Drug Charges

HARRIETTA, MI – On Thursday July 6th, 2017, Detectives from the Traverse Narcotics Team investigated a tip concerning individuals who were purchasing components for the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Detectives were advised that the subjects had purchased components used in the manufacture of methamphetamine that day.  TNT detectives were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle at a residence in Harrietta.  Survelliance of that property led to a search warrant being executed.

Jackie Todd was arrested for Delivery of Heroin, Delivery of Methamphetamine, Delivery of Oxycodone, Manufacturing of Methamphetamine.

Corry Sussion was arrested on charges of Smurfing.

Basil Cooper was arrested for Conspiracy to Manufacture Meth.

The other two individuals, NicoleNeibauer and Kiah Kelly were arrested for Smurfing and Conspiracy to Manufacture Meth.

Smurfing is a term used to describe when consumers purchase their legal limit of pseudoephedrine-based products and sell or trade them to the makers of illegal drugs.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that there were items consistent with the manufacture of Methamphteamine inside of the residence.  Certified clandestine / methamphetamine labratory responders arrived on scene and confirmed the items resprsented chemicals, compoents and apparatus commonly used to manufacture methamphetmine.

The search revealed additional chemicals, components and apparatus commonly used to manufature meth (an /or evidence of those items) . Hazardous items suspected to be affiliated with the manufacture of meth were removed from the house.

The following suspects were arrested:

  • Jackie Todd, 51-years-old, of Harrietta
  • Corry Sisson, 32-years-old, of Cadillac
  • Nicole Neibauer, 25-years-old, of Marion
  • Kiah Kelly, 25-years-old, of Cadillac
  • Basil Cooper, 56-years-old, of Marion

All suspects were arraigned in the 84th District Court on Friday. Todd is being held on a $450,000 bond. All other parties in the case are being held on $100,000 each.

The Traverse Narcotics Team is an eight-county multi-jurisdictional investigative team under the direction of tghe Michigan State Police and is also comprised of officers from various law enforcement agenices in Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, Kalkaska, Antrim, Missaukee, Osceola and Wexford County Sheriff’s Departments along with the Traverse City and Elk Rapids Police Departments.
