Oakland County Woman dies after she Overdoses on Boyfriends Prescribed Medications

ORION TOWNSHIP, MI – An Oakland County woman is dead after she is suspected of consuming some of her boyfriends prescribed medications.

Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Orion Township Fire Department responded to a residence located in the 3300 block of Aspen Trail at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Saturday July 8th, 2017.

A man had called 9-1-1 after finding his 30-year-old girlfriend unresponsive and not breathing.

He had begun CPR prior to help arriving on scene.

Upon arrival, Paramedics from Star EMS continued CPR and stabilized the victim before transporting her to McLaren Hospital – Oakland. The victim was subsequently pronounced dead at 11:47 a.m. by the attending physician.

The boyfriend advised Deputies that some of his medications were missing and believed his girlfriend may have taken them causing her to overdose.

It is unknown at this time what those medications were or what they had been prescribed to the boyfriend for.

A detective was notified and responded to the hospital to assist in the investigation. The Medical Examiner’s Office was also notified. An autopsy has been scheduled. The investigation continues.
