DEARBORN, MI – On Friday June 30th, 2017, Dearborn officers responded to the area of Michigan Avenue near Gulley on a report of a larceny from a vehicle.
After reviewing surveillance footage it was determined that the suspect entered multiple unlocked commercial vans parked in the area and stole assorted tools and a tool box. The suspect was observed on camera walking in multiple locations around the Michigan & Gulley area, indicating that he may be living or staying in the area.
The suspect is described as an older white male, balding with short white hair wearing glasses. Video shows the suspect wearing a red or brown flannel shirt with graphics on the front (possibly a Native American photograph), gray shorts and white Nike shoes. It appears the suspect has tattoos on both of his arms.
Dearborn Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the attached photos/video. Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “Crimes of this nature are not exclusive to one particular area. Crime has no boundaries and the suspect in this case is likely committing crimes in other communities as well. I cannot stress the importance of securing vehicles in order to deter this type of crime. Lock it or Lose it.”
