TROY, MI – Troy Police Officers responded to the area of 1654 Livernois Avenue on report of a gray 2002 Mercury Sable being driver erratically.
On Sunday July 23rd, 2017, at approximately 5:45 p.m., officers located the driver and her vehicle. They initiated a traffic stop on female driver where she then pulled into the Citgo Gasoline Station on Livernois Avenue. The officers spoke with the driver, a 25-year-old woman from Royal Oak, who was unsteady on her feet and her speech was slurred.
Inside the back seat of the vehicle was the driver’s 10 month old daughter.
Officers detained the woman where her purse was then searched. Inside her purse was a pill bottle that contained Xanax and Norcos. The driver was asked to perform several sobriety evaluations. She cooperated with police as requested. She performed poorly to each of tests.
She was arrested and transported to the Troy Lock-up Facility where she was read her Chemical Test Rights. She agreed to submit to a Blood Test which was drawn by medical personnel.
The Royal Oak woman was charged with Child Endangerment and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Narcotics pending laboratory results.
