ROSEVILLE, MI – At approximately 5:00AM, on Sunday August 20th, 2017, a suspected drunk driver caused a near fatal crash with a motorcyclist on east bound I-94 near 12 Mile Road.
The call originally was sent out to first responders as a fatal accident. Fortunately that was not the situation but yet it was a very serious crash.
A 26-year old Clinton Township man, driving a 2014 Chevy Equinox, is suspected of operating a vehicle under the influence. It is believed that he caused the accident that forced the closure of eastbound I-94 near 12 Mile Road Sunday morning.
Roseville Police say the man’s 2014 Chevy Equinox collided with a 48-year old man driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The freeway was reopened at about 11:30AM.
The 26-year-old driver of the Equinox was being held at the Roseville Police Department.
