Driver turns himself in after 2 Flint Teens Killed in Hit-and-run

FLINT, MI – The driver who is responsible for the hit and run deaths of two teen girls from Flint turned himself in on Saturday, August 26th, 2017.

Flint Police said about 12:21 a.m. Saturday, two 13-year-old girls were walking along Saginaw and Carton Street when a northbound driver, in a maroon colored vehicle, hit them and then fled the scene. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Both girls died at the scene.

The two 13-year-old girls were at a teen night club before the accident.

The suspects vehicle had been recovered before the suspect turned himself in. The Genesee County Prosecutor has not yet authorized charges against the driver.  The drivers name has not yet been released pending formal arraignment.
