17 yr old Captured after Fatal Shooting on West side

DETROIT, MI – A Detroit teen, who on the run after he fatally shot a man during an argument on Saturday September 2nd, 2017, has been taken in custody.

Detroit Police located the 17-year-old shooter around 1:00AM Sunday morning. He was arrested in the 19700 block of Annchester Road which is near Evergreen and W 7 Mile roads in Detroit.

Detroit Police have not yet released the identities of the victim or the suspect. The suspect is 17-years-old and the victim is 46-years-old. The victim is being identified on social media as Al Yae Yae to those who knew him.

At approximately 6:00PM, in the 16800 block of Ward, near Grove, is where the fatal shooting took place. The two were arguing when the 17-year-old produced a handgun and shot the man in the back of the head. The teen then fled the scene in a black Dodge Charger.

The man was fatally shot outside of a cousin’s home near McNichols Rd and the Lodge Freeway.

The shooter is not related to the victim. The incident is domestic in nature.
