DETROIT, MI – It was August 13th, 2016 that Christen Dionne’s sister, Jacqueline Draggs, was found to have been shot multiple times in the 20000 block of Barlow Street.
The house is located at 20271 Barlow St., between Collingham Dr. and Bringard Dr., between 7 & 8 mile roads on Detroit’s east side.
Neighbors were jolted out of bed around 3:45 a.m. that Saturday morning when they heard gunfire and then a woman screaming outside. Then they heard one final round being shot off and then it was very silent.
Neighbors immediately called 9-1-1 to report the incident. After arriving on scene and securing the area, officers found Jacqueline Draggs had been shot multiple times. Her lifeless body was discovered in the backyard of a vacant house near the garage. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jacqueline’s boyfriend at the time of her murder was Estervanico Dickerson also known as Nico. He has always been a suspect in her murder but when police want to question him, he hides behind the shield of his attorney. Nico Dickerson has always maintained that he is innocent even though he will not speak with authorities to assist them in solving the tragic crime.
Not one person deserves to die a violent death at the end of a gun barrel. If someone has knowledge that could solve this murder, their soul by now should be screaming out begging for peace and rest. It is a matter of doing the right, moral and just act that should drive that person to once and for all speak up and speak the truth.
Friday September 8th, 2017 would have been Jacqueline Draggs 23rd birthday. Christen Dionne pleaded with those who would see her post on social media to notify Detroit Police or Crime Stoppers if they had any information into the senseless murder of her sister.
She also pleaded to the former boyfriend of her sister, Estervanico (Nico) Dickerson to prove that he is actually innocent by speaking with homicide detectives and to submit to a polygraph test. Draggs and Dickerson were dating at the time when her brutal murder took place.
