Stranger Danger Reported in Macomb County’s Harrison Township

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI – On Tuesday September 12, 2017, at approximately 8:30am, Macomb County Sheriff’s Deputies took a report of a suspicious situation that occurred in the area of Ashland and Memory Ln. in Harrison Twp.

A 15 year old white female reported to L’Anse Creuse High School Central that a male attempted to get her into his vehicle on this date at approximately 6:35am. The female reported that as she was walking in the area of Ashland and Memory Ln, a vehicle sped past her and then turned around pulling up beside her. The male driver asked the female if she wanted a ride to school. The female told him no and he told her to get into the vehicle. The vehicle left as a school bus pulled up and the female entered the school bus. The male never exited his vehicle.

The vehicle is described as an older silver four door passenger vehicle. The driver is described as a white male in his early 20’s with brown curly hair. The male was wearing a black t-shirt, a black and gray baseball cap and a silver chain around his neck.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind parents to talk with their children about stranger danger. Do not talk to strangers, accept rides from strangers, or accept gifts from strangers. A stranger is anyone your child doesn’t know well or doesn’t trust.
