27 yr old Shot and Killed on Detroit’s West side

DETROIT, MI – A 27-year-old Detroit man was shot and killed on October 2nd, 2017, on Archdale Street on Detroit’s west side. Archdale is near the Southfield Freeway and Tireman Avenue.

At approximately 11:00PM Monday evening a call was placed to 9-1-1 after gunshots were heard in the 7500 block of Archdale. A witness looked out their window and spotted a man face down on a lawn.

The 27-year-old victim, now identified as Jabrelli Giddins, was shot multiple times. He was found dead at the scene.

Giddins was shot and killed while taking his dogs out just before midnight on Monday.

Another man was seen carrying a gun and running south on Archdale Street. That person is believed to be the shooter.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 6-foot-1-inch tall, 180 pounds, with a slim build. He wore a black-and-white hoodie, dark pants, and carried a handgun.
