BAY CITY, MI – An Alcona County man was recently sentenced to 340 months in federal prison on charges that he possessed with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, also known as crystal meth.
Daniel Harrington, 45-years-old, of Greenbush, was sentenced by United States District Judge Thomas Ludington in Bay City.
Harrington pleaded guilty on February 7th, 2017, to one count of a superseding indictment which charged him with possessing more than five grams of methamphetamine, also known as crystal meth. Harrington, assisted by others, obtained meth from sources in California then transported it to northern Michigan for distribution. Some of the meth seized during the investigation tested as 100% pure.
This case was jointly investigated by special agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Michigan State Police. The prosecution was handled by the United States Attorney’s Office in Bay City, Michigan.
