Clarkston Man Convicted of Assaulting Mother and Son on Goodrich Trail

FLINT, MI – A Clarkston man was convicted today of assaulting a mother and her son while they jogged on a Goodrich trail behind the Middle and Elementary Schools.

Charles Gamble, II , 41, was convicted of Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm and Assault & Battery by a Genesee County Jury.

The testimony revealed Gamble laid in wait and assaulted the victims causing facial bone fractures and other injuries.

Gamble is charged separately in an assault that took place one week earlier on a female jogger in the Davison Regional Park. There is no trial date set in that case at this time.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton was pleased with the verdicts: “The jury listened carefully to the evidence and returned the verdicts we requested.”

Gamble will be sentenced November 13, 2017 before the Honorable Archie L. Hayman.
