CLARKSTON, MI – Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard is kicking off the 30th annual “Coats for the Cold” coat drive with 98.7 AMP Radio at a special coat collection event held at program partner Genisys Credit Union’s Clarkston Branch. Details on the coat drive and the partnership with the Oakland County Pet Adoption Center will be laid out at the event.

Individuals who donate coats to the drive this year will be eligible for an up to $50 discount on the standard pet adoption fee. This effort will help find homes for many pets while at the same time, helping people in need stay warm this winter.

As in year’s past, 1-800-Self-Storage.com (formerly 1-800-Mini-Storage of Greenfield and Troy) is donating the drop boxes for coat collection and COWS (Containers on Wheels) is donating mobile containers at a few sites. Additionally, all Oakland County branches of Genisys Credit Union and Real Estate One offices are serving as drop-off sites.

Individuals donating coats at this event will also be eligible to register to win tickets to the November 7th Lady Gaga show at Little Caesars Arena.
