Two More Arrested for Home Invasion in Cheboygan County

CHEBOYGAN, MI – Two more have been arrested from a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday October 8th, 2017 at a residence in Benton Township.

The Cheboygan County Prosecutor’s Office issued a felony warrant for home invasion first degree on Clifton Shanton Haines, 17-years-old, from Indian River and on Robert Alan Rickard, 21-years-old, from Cheboygan.

It is alleged they also entered the home in Benton Township with Charles Grimm. Bond for both has been set at $20,000.00 with their next court date being November 9, 2017.

Charles Matthew Grimm, 19-years-old, from Cheboygan, was arrested on October 16, 2017 for home invasion as it is alleged he entered a home in Benton Township and the resident of the home, feeling threatened, shot Grimm with a .22 rifle in the shoulder. “The investigation is moving forward and what we have found out is that there were more subjects that had entered the home to confront the resident.” said Sheriff Clarmont.
