Woman Dies following Roll-over Vehicle Crash in Alpena County

ALPENA, MI – An Alpena County woman has died following injuries that she sustained in a roll-over vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:00AM on Thursday November 2nd, 2017.

Sarah Jaskolski, 34-years-old, of Alpena, was traveling westbound on Werth Road, at a curve in the road between Norway Ridge Pathway and Spruce Road,  in a minivan, when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle crossed the centerline, ran off the roadway and rolled over. It came to rest on its roof, partially submerged in water. Jaskolski was found unresponsive and had to be extricated from her vehicle.

Sarah Jaskolski was transported to MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena where she later died from her injuries.

Werth Road was closed for approximately two hours while the scene was cleared and police conducted an investigation.

Michigan State Police Alpena Post were assisted by the Alpena County Sheriff’s Office, Alpena Township Fire Department, Alpena City/County EMS and Alpena Central Dispatch.


JASKOLSKI, Sarah, 34, of Alpena died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, as a result of an auto accident.
