Gov. Snyder and Lt. Gov. Calley to speak at Mental Health and Criminal Justice Strategic Planning Summit

LANSING, MI – In an effort to move forward with statewide criminal justice diversion efforts, the Governor’s Mental Health Diversion Council and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services are hosting the Mental Health and Criminal Justice Strategic Planning Summit.

The Summit seeks to gain input from community and state leaders to further efforts that effectively move individuals with mental illness out of incarceration and into treatment, where appropriate. This input will be utilized in the planning efforts of the Diversion Council as they build the roadmap for their next steps.

Gov. Snyder speaking at 10:15 -10:45 a.m.; and
Lt. Gov. Calley speaking at 11:45 a.m. – Noon.
