Dating Relationship between two Women ends with one Dead in Ann Arbor Parking Lot

PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A romantic dating relationship between two women ended tragically late Saturday evening when one of the women shot and killed the other in an apartment complex parking lot.

On Saturday, November 11th, 2017, at approximately 11:47 P.M., the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety received a shots fired complaint in the 3800 block of Sparrow Wood Drive. Shortly thereafter, it was reported to police to be a confirmed shooting.

The 27-year-old woman from Pittsfield Township was shot in the parking lot of the Sparrow Wood Apartments in Ann Arbor and was transported to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital where she died.

The suspect who called 911 to report the shooting is a 27-year-old woman out of Garden City. It has been confirmed that two women were in a dating relationship.

The suspect was taken into police custody pending arraignment.
