Social Media Conflict may be why Ypsilanti home was Shot up

YPSILANTI, MI – On Thursday November 9th, 2017, at approximately 7:28am, Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Nash and Desoto for several reports of shots being fired.

Deputies arrived and made contact with a 27-year-old woman in the 1400 Block of Desoto who advised Deputies that unknown suspects shot at her home and garage causing minor damage.

Deputies located several spent 9mm casings in the 1400 Block of Jeff St. The victim’s residence and garage sustained damage from a few bullets however no one was injured.

The case is not believed to be a random incident and at this time there are no suspects, no known motives for the shooting other than a possible social media conflict between unrelated parties and is under investigation at this time.
