OXFORD TOWNSHIP, MI – The ex-boyfriend of a woman who is currently locked up decided to take the opportunity while she was away to bust into her house with a pry bar and steal her flat screen TV.
On Wednesday November 16th, 2017, at about 12:45AM, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 20 block of S. Manor St. in Oxford for a report of a Home Invasion in progress. A neighbor reported seeing two male subjects force entry into the residence with a pry-bar.
Upon arrival, Deputies approached the residence on foot and observed two males, a 32-year-old man, of Imlay City and a 22-year-old man, from the Village of Almont, exiting the home carrying a large flat screen television. The suspects were taken into custody.
One of the suspects admitted that the home belonged to his former 35-year-old girlfriend who was currently incarcerated in the Oakland County Jail. The suspect stated that he and the second suspect took the opportunity to break into the home and take the television. The suspects were transported to the Substation.
A Detective was contacted and responded to the Substation to interview the suspects. The suspects were transported to the Oakland County Jail and lodged pending the issuance of criminal charges. After interviewing the suspects, a Detective interviewed the home owner who had been incarcerated at the Oakland County Jail since September 14th, 2017.
