Two try to Rip Off Walmart in Big Rapids for Large Amount of Merchandise

BIG RAPIDS, MI – Two people are wanted for questioning by the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office for trying to steal over $4000 worth of merchandise from Walmart in Big Rapids.

On Friday, November 24th, 2017, at about 8:00 PM, Deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Wal-Mart store located at 21400 Perry Avenue in Big Rapids Twp. for a retail fraud in progress complaint.

While Deputies were en route to Wal-Mart, the suspects fled the scene in a silver passenger vehicle.

The man and woman were attempting to steal $4,250 worth of merchandise. Wal-Mart security personnel were able to recover the items, however, the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance in identifying the two suspects.

The female in the picture has blond hair and was wearing a red shirt. The male has a thin build and was wearing a white MSU ball cap.
