Cheboygan County Sheriff trying to Identify Suspect for Breaking and Entering of Dave’s Place

CHEBOYGAN, MI – Cheboygan County Sheriff Clarmont stated his department was dispatched on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday November 23rd, 2017, to Dave’s Place located at 9851 N. Straits Hwy for a breaking and entering.

Deputies learned the owner had arrived around 5:00am and found evidence of a B&E.

Upon reviewing the camera video the owner found that around 4:30 am a single person gained entry and soon after it appeared the suspect may have been scared away by lights entering the parking lot. At this time it is not known if anything was taken.

Video was obtained and is being processed. The Sheriff is asking the public for any information pertaining to this crime. “We are asking if anyone knows anything or observed anything suspicious during the morning hours between 4:00 and 5:00am such as a person walking or a vehicle out of place in the area to please call the Sheriff’s Department at 231-627-3155” said Clarmont.

Video capture showed a person with a small build between 5’4” and 5”8” wearing dark Carhartt type pants and coat with possible white tennis shoes a dark hoodie and a mask over the face.
