DETROIT, MI – The Inkster man who plead guilty to his vehicle hitting and killing a man outside of the Detroit Shinola store was sentenced today, Monday November 27th, 2017.
Deandre Simmons, the person who drove his vehicle striking and killing a senior man outside of the Detroit Shinola store in June 2017, pled guilty as charged. Those charges were:
- Reckless Driving Causing Death,
- DWLS Causing Death,
- Reckless Driving Causing Serious Injury,
DWLS Causing Serious Injury
Judge Heise sentenced Simmons to 4-15 years in prison for counts 1 and 2. She also sentenced him to 2-5 years in prison for counts 3 and 4.
