Ionia County Sheriff’s Office seeks information on B&E of DNR maintenance building

IONIA, MI –  On Monday November 27th, 2017 the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Sessions Lake Campground and State Park referencing the breaking and entering of a DNR maintenance building with several items being stolen from the facility.

This incident occurred between November 25th and November 27th. Investigation at the scene determined that someone had broken into the building by prying open a service door at the rear of the building. Items stolen from the DNR building include several chainsaws, backpack style leaf blowers, a John Deere riding mower, and a John Deere 60” Z-Track mower. It was also reported that a 6 x 12 utility trailer had been stolen from the station as well.

The Ionia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information leading to the recovery of this stolen property and the arrest of the perpetrators involved.
