DETROIT, MI – One man was shot and killed while a total of five were hit by gunfire in the 11000 block of Nashville Street Thursday evening.
On Thursday, November 30th, 2017, Detroit Police Officers from the 9th precinct were dispatched to the area of Gunston and Nashville on the east side of the city for shots fired at about 8:35pm.
Four men and one woman were victims to the gun violence tonight on the east side of the city. One of those victims, a man was killed from the gunfire. He has been identified on social media.
The remaining four survivors were taken to a local hospital. One of the men is in critical condition. The three other victims are in stable condition.
The Detroit Police Homicide Unit along with the Gang Intelligence Unit have been called to the scene.
Video from homes and businesses in the area are being looked at the gain further information as to who the gunman may be.
Detroit Police believe that a dark colored Oldsmobile Alero was used in the shooting. They are currently looking for that particular type of vehicle.
Multiple resources are currently on scene processing evidence and taking witness statements.
