DETROIT, MI – A Detroit woman was very wise when she had some very high tech home surveillance cameras installed because it appears that system may have saved her life.
There are two videos that show the gunman at a Detroit woman’s front door, in the 20200 block of Asbury Park, at 1:30 in the morning. The first one at the top shows him coming up to her home. The 2nd, which is below the article, shows him standing at her front door with a very large gun.
She has good reason to warn others through her post on social media about the incident that took place at her front door at about 1:30am on Saturday December 2nd, 2017.
The victim stated that “The worst thing in the world is to have someone invade your space and peace of mind.” No truer words were spoken because in video that she was able to capture of the suspect, he can be seen walking up to the front of the house and up to the door. It is very clear that he is holding a large gun in his hand.
It is unknown if this man was trying to harm the woman who lives in the home or if he just had the wrong house. But one thing is for sure, he was there for reasons that were no good.
This woman was robbed back in 2013 by a man who said he had a gun. That personal crime is etched in her memory and she felt as though she had moved past that incident until this happens right at her front door four years later.
As this crime was taking place outside of her home, she was calling on people who love and care for her. They came running to help including her ex fiancé.
This suspect remains on the loose and residents of Detroit and all other areas should consider installing a home security system.
This year home security cameras are high on Christmas lists as things wanted. They are considered to be one of the top 10 items that people are wanting and asking for this holiday season. By installing a good system like resident has in her home, it may well save your life or that of your entire family.

The worst thing in the world is to have someone invade your space and peace of mind.
In 2013 I was robbed, the guy said he had a gun and for a long time I was nervous when any strange person approached me or was too close, I finally got over that……..
Well last night this idiot decided to bring his raggedy ass to my house at 1:34 am. Not sure if it’s a mistaken house or an attempt at hoping I’d come to the door and they’d force their way in BUT GOD!!!!!!
My ex fiancé that I haven’t been with in 6 years was here in 5 minutes no more than 10, my neighbor friend Kyle called me back quick.
And I’m just grateful to have friends who CARE! Regardless of the fact my ex and I aren’t involved he still has my back and I am blessed and those who knew him and thought “that’s your man??” What did I always say? “I feel safe! I know that man had my back and would bust a cap in somebody in a minute over me”
My son the sharp shooting soldier is talking about an emergency leave now and even my ex husband/ baby daddy is asking if I needed anything. I told him to just make sure Yas doesn’t have to catch a bus anywhere because I want this video circulated! I want these fools faces out there and I don’t wanna worry about my baby being targeted.
Lastly I want to thank the Detroit Police Department for getting to me in record time! I know they get a lot of bad press BUT they are indeed on the job! So thank you Chief James Craig former Chief Ralph Lloyd Godbee Jr. And all my DPD connects! #DetroitVsEverybody
For those inquiring Vivint Smart Home is the alarm system in place.
So if you know this person please contact DPD 8th precinct PLEASE!
