PONTIAC, MI – Meijer Stores of Rochester Hills, Oxford, Auburn Hills, and Commerce Twp., and the WalMart of Lyon Township, are all partnering with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and other police, firefighters, and local EMS, to make this holiday season a little happier for area families who are less fortunate.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies from substations in Orion Township, Oxford Township, Brandon Township, Oakland Township, Addison Township, Lyon Township, Rochester Hills, and Pontiac will be helping children select holiday presents for their families and accompanying them around the stores with gift cards provided by Meijer and WalMart.
“We as an agency are proud to make our citizens’ holiday seasons a little brighter through these types of outreach efforts,” said Sheriff Bouchard.
