Two arrested for Monroe County Key Bank Armed Robbery

MONROE, MI – Wednesday afternoon, Monroe County Deputies Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an armed robbery that occurred at the Key Bank located at 1535 N. Telegraph Rd in Frenchtown Township.

On January 10th, 2018, at about 2:15PM, Monroe County Deputies were dispatched to the bank in regards to an Armed Robbery that had just occurred.

Employees at the bank relayed to Monroe County Central Dispatch that two subjects had just robbed the venue and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. Employee’s at the bank were able to obtain a description of the suspect vehicle that the two suspects had fled the scene in and were last seen traveling southbound on Telegraph Rd

A BOL was placed for the suspect vehicle and Sgt. Dave Raymond located the suspect vehicle in the area of S. Telegraph and Seventh St. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and a 51 year old male subject as well as a 49 year old female subject were taken into custody without incident.

During a search of the suspects vehicle the stolen money was recovered as well as other evidence related to the crime.

The identities of the suspects is being withheld pending arraignment in First District Court.
