Grand Rapids Police release Sketch of Rape Suspect

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The Grand Rapids Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in generating leads to the identity of the suspect in the composite sketch. The sketch was created as part of a CSC 1st degree investigation.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 am on 12/28/2017 in the 4200 block of Oak Park Dr SE. During the incident, the B/M suspect pointed a handgun at the female victim and sexually assaulted her. The B/M suspect then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as being a B/M, 21-23 years old, 6’, 160 pounds, with short black hair (Approximately 1” long), brown eyes, and medium complexion. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a dark colored jacket with the hood pulled up, blue jeans, and unknown colored shoes, possibly a larger size Nike. The handgun was described as being a larger framed black semiautomatic.
