Two Detroit Police Officers Injured when Scout Car is Broadsided

DETROIT, MI – Two Detroit Police officers were injured when their scout car was broadsided on the city’s east side Monday evening.

The accident occurred around 10:20 p.m. on January 29th, 2018, at the intersection of Moross and Balfour, near I-94. The officers were preparing to make a traffic stop when they were struck broadside by another vehicle.

Both officers were transported to a local area hospital and were last reported in stable condition. Their injuries were described as non-life threatening.

The person causing the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
