29 yr old Autistic Woman dies at Oakland County Group Home

ADDISON TOWNSHIP, MI – A 29-year-old woman who suffered from Autism was found dead at an Oakland County group home on Friday February 17th, 2018.

At approximately 5:30 am, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Addison Township Fire Department responded to a group home located in the 3000 block of Rochester Road on a report of a deceased subject.

Employees of the Group Home discovered that a female resident was unresponsive and not breathing. They immediately called 9-1-1.

Paramedics were not unable to revive the woman. Paramedics provided telemetry to Ascension-Crittenton Hospital where a physician pronounced the victim deceased. Deputies ascertained that the victim suffered from Autism but were provided with a limited medical history.

The reason for her death is not known at this time. There were no signs of trauma or foul play found at the scene.

A Detective and an Investigator from the Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene to continue with the investigation.  An autopsy has been scheduled.

The victim’s name has not yet been released. The incident remains under investigation.
