Phantom Motorcycle Club President accidentally Shot in Pontiac

PONTIAC, MI – The president of the Phantom Motorcycle Club is recovering today after being accidentally shot on Saturday February 17th, 2018.Phantom Motorcycle Club

At approximately 4:15 am, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to McLaren Hospital – Oakland on the report of a subject who was being treated in their Emergency Room for a gunshot wound.

Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the man who stated the incident happened in the 40 block of S. Glenwood Avenue. The victim indicated that he is the president of the Phantom Motorcycle Club and was conducting a pat down search of a patron to ensure that no weapons entered the club. The man stated that during the pat down, a weapon that was inside of a holster discharged and struck his left hand.

Deputies responded to the Glenwood address in an attempt to locate the scene where the weapon had discharged. they were able to locate the scene where the shooting took place.

Deputies were informed by witnesses that the victim had accidentally shot himself in the left hand when his firearm fell out of his pocket.

Detectives will be continuing with the investigation.
