Bridge Closed in Oakland County due to Flooding

ORION TOWNSHIP, MI – The one lane bridge, in Orion Township (commonly referred to as the Golden Gate Bridge that crosses the Paint Creek), is currently under water and unsafe for use or travel. This bridge is the access point for 12 homes on the private portion of Golden Gate Rd.

Orion Township officials are working with the residents affected by the flooding and the bridge closure. Township officials are on scene assessing the situation. There is no estimate at this time when the bridge will re-open too traffic.

The Orion Township Fire Department has a Utility Vehicle in the area to assist residents in the event of an emergency.
